6th Grade Beginning Band
The 6th Grade Beginning Band is comprised of students from Walkerton Elementary and North Liberty Elementary School. The 6th Grade band program serves as an ensemble to begin to build foundational skill to be successful in Middle School band at Urey Middle School. Students have band class every day and perform in 3 concerts throughout the school year. These would be the Fall Concert, The Merry Melodies Christmas Showcase, and the Spring Band Concert.

BEGINNER BAND KICK START CAMP 2026!
Date: July 30-31, then Aug 3-6 (5:30-6:30pm at Urey Middle School)
Break down of days (not every band student comes everyday):
CAMP DAYS
Thursday July 30 - only Flutes/Oboes/Saxophones
Friday July 31 - only clarinets
Monday August 3 - only Trumpets/French Horns
Tuesday August 4 - only Trombones/Baritones/Tubas
Wednesday August 5 - only percussion
Thursday August 6 - everyone
Please drop off and pick up your student at the main Entrance to Urey Middle School.
