Jazz Ensemble
The John Glenn High School Jazz Ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9-12. Recently, JGHS has begun to offer Jazz Ensemble as an elective that students can take during the school day! Jazz Ensemble performs at 4 home concerts throughout the school year. These are Falcon Follies, The Fall band Concert, The Merry Melodies Christmas Showcase, and the Annual Spring Spectacular! The Jazz also performs in the I.S.S.M.A. District Jazz Contest each year. They have received special invitations to Jazz Festivals and Cafe performances in Jimtown and Bethel College. The John Glenn Jazz Ensemble seeks to provide students the opportunity to explore many different styles of jazz through both performance and observation.
